In the aftermath of a violent road incident on September 13, motorcyclist Sia, known on social media as rebelwheels_sia_, has issued a stark rebuttal to the driver accused of her accident. Responding directly to statements made by Kalyan Bainsla, she challenged his narrative of events in a detailed video posted to social media, emphasizing that the visual evidence unequivocally proves his guilt.
Sia’s video reaction, shared shortly after the collision, was a direct response to Bainsla’s interview with reporters, where he claimed he did not know whether the motorcyclist was male or female and stated he felt "very sorry" for her. In her response, Sia dissected his comments, pointing out logical inconsistencies in his story. She highlighted that Bainsla’s assertion of not knowing the rider’s gender was implausible given the physical proximity of the vehicles and the visibility of her hair.
"If you felt so sorry for me, then why didn't you stop? I could have died on the spot," Sia stated in the video, a question that underscores the severity of the Gurugram Hit-And-Run case. She further questioned the logic behind Bainsla’s claim that the bikers were repeatedly speeding up and slowing down. She argued that if the car occupants perceived such erratic behavior, it did not explain why they followed her for such an extended distance along the road.
"The videos clearly show how they fled. They did not stop even for a second to check whether the person they had hit was alive or dead," she added, rejecting the notion that his subsequent expressions of sympathy were genuine. Sia emphasized that her own camera footage and third-party videos provided a complete picture of the incident, contradicting Bainsla’s claim that only one side of the story was visible.
According to Sia’s analysis of the available footage, one video captures the white sedan moving from the front lane into the third lane before striking her motorcycle. A second video, recorded from her own helmet camera, shows the car crossing from the first lane to the third, hitting her, and dragging her along the vehicle before she fell onto the road. She noted that these two videos were sufficient to establish the facts, dismissing Bainsla’s suggestion that more footage from the approximately 22 to 23 people present was necessary.
Biker rebelwheels_sia_ directly confronts Kalyan Bainsla’s claims of sympathy following the Gurugram Hit-And-Run, citing video evidence that contradicts his account of the incident.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning at around 7:00 am on Golf Course Road in Gurugram. Sia was riding her Aprilia RS 457 sports bike toward the Biker Barn Cafe with a group of friends on separate motorcycles. She alleged that a white Maruti Suzuki Ciaz with registration number HR30L4949 began following them aggressively. Sia stated that the occupants appeared intoxicated and repeatedly attempted to harass her and force her to stop.
When she crossed them, Sia alleged that the car suddenly crossed her path and hit her bike. The impact caused her motorcycle to be dragged for nearly 300 meters. After the crash, the occupants of the car fled the scene immediately. Sia’s friends attempted to chase the vehicle, but the suspects managed to escape the spot.
Sia filed a formal complaint with the Gurugram Police, detailing the harassment and the subsequent collision. She alleged that the occupants' aggressive behavior and intoxication contributed to the dangerous situation. Her complaint included specific charges against Bainsla, reflecting the serious nature of the altercation and the subsequent escape from the scene.
The legal proceedings have now moved to the Sector 56 police station in Gurgaon. Sia’s brother reported that they visited the station and met with the Station House Officer (SHO). They submitted a written statement from Sia and specified the charges they wished to be included in the First Information Report (FIR). The charges currently on file include harassment, attempted murder, and hit-and-run.
"Sia’s verbal statement will be recorded tomorrow. The SHO himself will come here to record it," her brother explained. This formal recording of her testimony is a critical next step in the investigation, ensuring that her account of the events is officially documented in the police records.
While Sia escaped what could have been fatal injuries, her physical condition has deteriorated as the initial adrenaline of the crash wore off. Her brother described her current state as one of significant discomfort, noting that she is now dealing with severe muscle pain, body aches, and abrasions.
"She is physically okay, but she has started experiencing significant pain now. Initially, the adrenaline in her system masked it, but now she is suffering from severe muscle pulls and widespread body pain," her brother said. He noted that she requires painkillers and has various scratches and abrasions on her body.
Sia reflected on the potential severity of the crash, stating, "I could have suffered much more serious injuries. My bones could have been broken. I could have died on the spot." She expressed disbelief at Bainsla’s display of sympathy, calling it incongruous with his actions of fleeing the scene without stopping to check on her welfare.
The incident has also sparked broader concerns about safety for women on the roads in Delhi and Gurugram. Sia highlighted the psychological impact of such aggressive driving behavior, stating, "Women feel extremely unsafe because of behaviour like this in Delhi and Gurugram." She expressed shame at those who claim their families are suffering while ignoring the fear inflicted on women by such actions.
As the police investigate the charges of harassment and attempted murder, the case continues to draw attention to road safety and the accountability of drivers involved in hit-and-run incidents. The detailed video evidence provided by Sia remains a central pillar of the case, challenging the narrative put forward by the accused and reinforcing the gravity of the allegations.
The allegations in the Gurugram Hit-And-Run case highlight a critical need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and immediate accountability for drivers involved in collisions. As the investigation into Kalyan Bainsla proceeds, the case serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by two-wheeler riders on busy highways. The detailed video evidence and the formal FIR suggest a rigorous legal process ahead, potentially setting a precedent for how such hit-and-run cases are handled in the region. For commuters in Delhi and Gurugram, the incident underscores the ongoing challenges of road rage and aggressive driving, reinforcing the importance of vigilant riding and the reliance on electronic evidence for justice. The outcome of this case may influence future legal approaches to hit-and-run incidents involving intoxication and harassment.
