Prosecutors have confirmed that a 35-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida, named Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, is now facing serious criminal charges after allegedly attacking the singer's property. This incident marks a disturbing escalation in celebrity security concerns, highlighting vulnerabilities even within fortified residential zones. The event occurred on a Sunday afternoon, disrupting what was intended to be a private evening for Rihanna and her partner.

The Incident and Immediate Aftermath

The shooting took place at 13:15 local time, which corresponds to 21:15 GMT. According to reports from CBS, Ortiz is accused of driving directly up to the front of the singer's Los Angeles mansion and discharging a semiautomatic rifle multiple times at the structure. Despite the violence of the attack, authorities confirmed that no one was injured during the exchange. At the time of the shooting, both Rihanna and her rapper partner A$AP Rocky were present inside the home. Additionally, prosecutors noted that people were also located in the property adjacent to the mansion, further emphasizing the danger posed to the neighborhood by the suspect's actions.

Following the incident, Ortiz was taken into custody at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping centre, where her white Tesla had been located approximately eight miles from the crime scene.
